Rural and Western Slope Colorado is RMHP’s home turf, and it has been since physicians and community leaders founded the plan in Grand Junction in 1974. UnitedHealthcare acquired the organization in 2017, so you get national UnitedHealthcare network reach behind a plan that still underwrites and services Colorado locally. Product lines include individual and family marketplace coverage, Medicare Advantage and Dual Special Needs plans, Child Health Plan Plus, and Medicaid through RMHP PRIME and the Region 1 Regional Accountable Entity contract for Health First Colorado. RMHP holds NCQA accreditation but does not carry a current standalone AM Best financial strength rating under its own name.
