LOS ANGELES, Calif. – July 15, 2026 – The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty), one of the nation’s fastest-growing privately held insurance brokerages, announced the promotion of Adam Baillie to President, the expansion of Bernadetta Scholz’s responsibilities to include the role of Chief Operating Officer while she continues to serve as Chief Financial Officer, and the appointment of Rob Jadon to the newly created role of Chief AI Officer. These leadership appointments reflect Liberty’s continued investment in strengthening its executive team as the company expands its national footprint, enhances its operational capabilities and advances its long-term growth strategy.
Baillie joined Liberty as a producer in 2014 and has played a significant role in the company’s growth and evolution. During his tenure, he has served in several leadership positions, including Managing Partner, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and President, Strategic Growth. His experience as both a successful producer and executive leader has helped shape many of Liberty’s strategic initiatives while maintaining a strong connection to the entrepreneurs, producers and clients the company serves.
Throughout his career at Liberty, Baillie has helped lead key growth initiatives across business development, data and business intelligence, underwriting services, strategic partnerships, and national expansion efforts. He has also played an important role in recruiting and developing producer talent, strengthening carrier relationships, and advancing Liberty’s entrepreneurial culture.
As President, Baillie will help lead the execution of Liberty’s strategic vision, drive alignment across the organization, support continued growth and ensure Liberty remains focused on the culture and values that have been central to its success.
“Adam’s impact on Liberty over the past decade has been extraordinary,” said Bill Johnson, Chairman, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Liberty. ”He combines the mindset of a producer, the vision of a strategist, and the leadership of an operator. Adam understands our business, our people, and our culture, and he is uniquely positioned to help lead Liberty through its next phase of growth.”
“Liberty has been my professional home for more than a decade,” said Baillie. ”I am honored to serve as President and excited about the opportunity ahead. We have tremendous momentum, exceptional people, and a unique culture, and I look forward to helping build on that foundation.”
Scholz brings more than two decades of financial and operational leadership experience to her expanded role. Since joining Liberty in 2021 as Chief Accounting Officer and being promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2022, she has played a key role in strengthening the company’s financial and operational capabilities and supporting its rapid growth.
Prior to Liberty, Scholz held senior financial leadership positions across both public and private companies, developing deep expertise in accounting, audit, treasury, capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and operational leadership. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations build scalable infrastructure, support strategic growth initiatives, execute complex transactions and navigate periods of significant change.
At Liberty, Scholz has led numerous strategic initiatives across finance, treasury, capital markets, tax, acquisition integration, shared services and partner operations. Her leadership has helped strengthen the company’s financial and operational infrastructure, positioning Liberty to support continued growth while maintaining strong financial discipline and operational effectiveness.
As Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Scholz will continue to oversee Liberty’s financial strategy while assuming responsibility for day-to-day operations across the organization, helping ensure the company’s infrastructure, processes and execution capabilities continue to scale alongside its growth.
“Bernadetta has played a key role in building the financial and operational foundation that supports Liberty today. She has consistently demonstrated sound judgment, strong execution, and an ability to get things done. Expanding her role to include Chief Operating Officer reflects the confidence we have in her leadership and the impact she has had across the organization,” said Johnson.
“I am honored to take on this expanded role. Liberty has built an incredible business, and I am excited to help continue building the infrastructure and operational foundation needed for our next phase of growth. I look forward to continuing to support our partners, producers, employees, and clients as we grow together,” said Scholz.
As technology and artificial intelligence reshape the industry, Liberty is making a deliberate investment in its future by creating a dedicated Chief AI Officer role, which will be held by Rob Jadon. In stepping into this position, Jadon will focus on harnessing AI to strengthen how Liberty serves clients, supports producers and operates as a company. This move opens the door for the next evolution of operational leadership.
“Artificial intelligence will play an important role in the future of our business, but success will depend on how thoughtfully we apply it. Rob brings the operational experience, strategic mindset, and leadership needed to ensure AI enhances how we serve our clients, support our producers, and strengthen Liberty. Rob’s appointment reflects Liberty’s long-term commitment to investing in technology that creates meaningful value for clients, partners, and employees,” said Johnson.
“As I step into this role, my focus is on helping Liberty build the next generation of insurance brokerage by combining human expertise with artificial intelligence. The greatest opportunity is not simply to automate work, but to help our people make better decisions, move faster, and spend more time delivering the expertise and personal service our clients value most,” said Jadon.
With more than 80 offices nationwide and a partnership-driven culture, Liberty continues to invest in experienced leadership to support its expanding national footprint. These appointments reinforce the firm’s commitment to delivering sophisticated risk solutions while creating long-term opportunities for its people and clients alike.
